How it works
A cron expression has five fields:minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week. Each field is a number, a range like9-17, a list like1,15, a step like*/5, or a star for "any".
- Day of week uses 0 for Sunday through 6 for Saturday (7 also means Sunday).
- Both day fields restricted — when you set both day of month and day of week, the job runs when either one matches, which is the standard cron behavior.
- Next runs are computed by stepping forward one minute at a time from now, so they respect your local time zone and daylight saving changes.

What does "*/5 * * * *" mean?
Every 5 minutes, at minutes 0, 5, 10 and so on, every hour, every day.
How do I run something at 9:30 on weekdays?
Minute 30, hour 9, day of week 1-5: the expression is30 9 * * 1-5.
Why do some cron systems have six fields?
A few schedulers add a seconds field at the front or a year field at the end. This tool generates the classic five-field form used by cron, Quartz-style systems and most CI schedulers.
